Anniversary

Our 31st anniversary was last week. Tonight I had to explain to my grandchildren about men and long hair back in the 70's. When I told Haley that Papa had hair as long as her back then, she couldn't believe it. So I found this picture of Jim and I from 1975. One of the few times we dressed up prior to our wedding.

Haley couldn't stop giggling!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Lucas and Haley made signs to wish Papa Bill a happy 80th birthday! Everyone talked to him on the telephone and I emailed the photo to him. Modern technology comes through!!!!

Visiting a quilter

In August the Chaska Area Quilt Club visited three of our quilters' homes. One was Audree Sells, one of our founding members and an award winning quilter. She hung quilts outside, as if we were in Sisters Oregon. In her studio, she described her space, and showed us the 2010 CAQC raffle quilt that she designed. Audree is in the center of the photo in the black and white outfit.

Dick and Pam's new golden, Daisy, came to visit us in July. Didn't realize this photo had been taken of Haley with Pam and Daisy.

More from the Fourth

Better Late than Never

Yes, it is now September. Yes, these photos are from July 4th weekend. But considering a few days after that I was in the hospital, I now know why I never got these photos posted. So please forgive me. Wanted to show everyone how much fun our neighborhood can be. Sailing on Lake Minnetonka. Joining in on a sing-a-long the evening of July 3rd. The parade, and finally all the races. Enjoy the pictures. If you ever want to join us, just let me know!

School day photos

Here are photos from first day of kindergarten for Lucas. Of course the weather was wonderful, so everyone went for a swim after school.

School days, school days........

First week of school is officially over. Haley enjoyed showing Lucas all the "ropes" as the big sister in first grade. Lucas of course thinks kindergarten is no big deal, he knows everything, and won't share anything because it is all a "secret". Kevin is diving into classes again too, and hopes to stay afloat with his heavy load.

Me? Knee is progressing. Little things like how I get in and out of a car. Walking up steps foot over foot. Doing more at aqua aerobics. Able to ride on Jim's motorcycle. Even though sometimes I think it isn't going well, I see improvement in my ability to do things and realize that all is fine. Haven't started working again, though I have been called twice. We will see what next week brings.

Jim excited for the ski season. Chatting with everyone at the Hoigaards tent sale. We were able to pick up an awesome pink ski helmet for Haley, and she has progressed to "poles" this year. Big, big deal for her.

Tonight we enjoyed a puppet show put on by Kevin, Haley, and Lucas. Lots of fun. Recorded it. Very creative kids. When I get a chance, I will post some photos. But for now, good night from Minnesota.

Late Summer Camping

Kevin was a trooper. Camping with Lucas, Haley and their friends in our backyard. Everyone had a great time!
