On my way home from visiting in Grinnell, I decided to take the Iowa back roads to Minnesota. It was wonderful to see all the colorful barn quilts in Iowa.
I wish I had a barn to put one on! I love looking for them when on the road. Last summer I saw many across central Wisconsin. Makes for a more enjoyable road trip. Definitely best to stay off the highways, and on the backroads.
Usually when I see a barn quilt, my camera is at the bottom of a tote bag, and we're going 70. Love your photos. I saw your shirt haul over on yahoo. Lots of great plaids there. What are you going to make?
These are fun to look at. I plan to make one for our barn...someday! But how on earth do you decide what block to do?
